Why Pi Alpha Phi?

Pi Alpha Phi is a place where members develop character and live by time-honored traditions of honor, integrity, and brotherhood. Since our founding in 1929, we have stood for excellence and set high expectations for our members. We push ourselves to strive for higher goals and to hold each other accountable to those goals. Fraternal life is an opportunity to find peers to challenge you to reach your fullest potential. Our members expect to change the world and for over 90 years have delivered on those expectations.

How do I join Pi Alpha Phi?

Membership with Pi Alpha Phi begins at an active chapter at your university. Existing members (actives) extend a bid to join. If the prospective member accepts the bid, he goes through a pledge process at the respective chapter. Pledgeship assimilates new members into the fraternity and prepares them to make contributions to the house and to advance the ideals of the organization. If you are interested in joining a chapter of Pi Alpha Phi at your campus, contact any of the brothers (you can find contact information at your school or on the chapter directory page at this website). Additionally, chapters typically post rush information on their website or social media pages at the beginning of each academic term.

If there is no current chapter at your university, feel free to contact our Expansion Chair at if you are interested in starting a chapter of Pi Alpha Phi at your school.
